28/08/2009 - Call for Papers: Journal of Specialised Translation
The Journal of Specialised Translation will publish an issue on Public Service Interpreting in July 2010
The issue will be edited by Jan Cambridge. The editor would very much like to include an article on the fact that interpreting is virtually absent from schools and on the problems that this implies. Many non-English speaking school children either need classroom assistance, or help with mediation, particularly when they face disciplinary action. Yet linguistic help is not available for them, which often results in their (further) exclusion. If you are interested in writing an article on this topic, email editor@jostrans.org or Jan Cambridge at psic@spanish.demon.co.uk for information.
